Gilbert Fire Department Raising Funds
for New Training Center |
 |
The Gilbert Fire Department is soliciting donations to help build an
addition to the fire station. The facility will be used as a training
center, but we have also heard that it will be available as a
community meeting room — something that is much needed
in Gilbert.
The cost is approximately $80,000. You may send your donation to: |

Gilbert Lion's Club
and Vision 2000 to Build Park Shelter House |
 |
|
The Gilbert Lion's Club and Vision 2000 are joining forces this summer
to build a shelter in Upstill Park in memory of Bill and Mickey
Ludgwig. The Lion's Club is providing the labor as a way to honor its
50th anniversary.
The shelter is located just west of the parking lot in Upstill Park
and will be a 24-foot by 34-foot structure. It will be available for a
variety of uses such as picnics, soccer and baseball parties, and
family reunions.
Vision 2000 has received $8,000 to begin the project. Vision 2000
is soliciting donations to raise the remainder of the total estimated
cost of approximately $14,000. Donations can be sent to: |
