CALLED TO ORDER: 7:05 P.M. at City Hall, by Mayor Bob Jaquis ROLL CALL: Present: Craig Allen, Chris Benda, Jon Popp & Peg Uthe Absent: Lynn Henn CONSENT CALENDAR: Moved by Popp, seconded by Uthe to approve the Minutes for the Regular City Council Meeting and the Joint Meeting with Planning and Zoning Commission Members on November 4, 2002, Revised Revenue and Expense Report for October 2002, October 2002 Funds Report, Agenda, Claims List, Interim Claims List and Receipt List for November 18, 2002. Vote on Motion: 4-0. Motion declared carried unanimously. OPEN FORUM: No Citizen requested to speak during the Open Forum. RESOLUTION 404: APPROVING THE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001-2002. Mayor Jaquis called for a motion to approve Resolution 404. No motion was made. Council Member Popp stated this should be tabled to another meeting, but no action was taken on his comment. DISCUSSION OF CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP: Council discussed the service in which the city should designate a day to pick up Christmas tree’s in Gilbert. Council all agreed that this would be a benefit to offer city residents. Moved by Allen, seconded by Benda to designate January 4, 2003 a day for pick up of Christmas tree’s for Gilbert citizen’s at no cost. Vote on Motion: 4-0. Motion declared carried unanimously. DISCUSSION OF 2003-2004 BUDGET: Mayor Jaquis and Council had general discussion on budget issues. Mayor Jaquis indicated that this discussion would be on future agenda’s until the budget is completed DISCUSSION ON INSURANCE CLASSIFICATION RATING: Mayor Jaquis explained to Council that Insurance Services Office, Inc. will be evaluating the City’s fire protection service in December. This information will be used by insurance companies in setting rates for homeowner’s insurance. His main concern on this matter was the paperwork being filled out and submitted on a timely fashion. ADJOURN: Moved by Uthe, seconded by Allen to adjourn at 7:44 p.m. Motion declared carried unanimously.
