OPEN FORUM. Fred Vogtlin, of the Gilbert Cemetary Association, requested 5300
from the City for oiling the road in front of the cemetery. All were in favor
if funds were available. Fred may take it to the council to have this done
every year. He also suggested that the City may want to consider this for
future budgets.
DISCUSSION OF ENGENEERING STUDY: THE SEWAGE LAGOONS. The Lagoon is getting
close to capacity and we would like to get going on the study. The council
agreed to move forward.
DISSCUSSION OF STREET SWEEPING. Gary brought forward the streets were not
cleaned last year. However, it is thought it may be too late to complete this
task this year.
DISCUSSION OF WEATHER WARNING SIREN. Electric service to the town is split
between old and new sections of town each being served from a different
source. This eliminates the need for battery backup on the new siren. Motion
to proceed with straight AC and no backup was by Lynn Henn, seconded by Chris
Benda. Motion declared carried unanimously
