The society organized a tour of seven homes on September 24, 2011, with members and friends presenting folks from the past who had lived in the homes. We have posted YouTube videos of two of the presentations with more to come.

Interview with Bessie Gildersleeve
A conversation with Gilbert centenarian and grand marshal of Gilbert's 125th anniversary parade in 2004, when she was the oldest living graduate of Gilbert high school. Bessie and her parents moved from Illinois to the area when she was three. She taught school then was married 72 years to John Gildersleeve. He died in 1994. She continued to live on their farm north and east of Gilbert's cemetery.

2004 football archive
The 2004 Gilbert High School football team, known as a group of believers, overcame many odds and won the state semi-final game at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls before losing in the championship game.
