ARCHIVED SECTION

The Gazette has been revamped. All materials published prior to July 2006 have been placed in this archived section, which will not be updated nor corrected unless someone brings a serious error to our attention. There is a new version, albeit minimalist, that has the potential to grow over time. more

Iowa Class 2A Runner-up

Editor's note: Our original intent in regard to coverage of the Gilbert schools was simply to post a link to the district's web site. However, we have discovered that a lot of the pages on that site have never been developed and others have not been updated since 2001. Therefore, we decided it best to post a page of rudimentary information about the schools on this site. Be advised, the Gazette is not a full-service cyber magazine nor newspaper, and visitors should not expect coverage of sporting and other school events, regular reviews of board meetings, nor hot lunch menus. We urge concerned visitors to contact school administrators and encourage them to do a more thorough and up-to-date job with their web site. And if you want the latest scores and stories about your favor Tiger team, check the sports section of the Ames Tribune. And if your team isn't covered, get after the Tribune and not the Gazette. Thanks for your understanding.
